Strategic Analysis & Decision‑Making

The master's program has allowed me to create a more formal mental structure upon which to build a foundation. I am used to making strategic decisions based on my experience and my personal feelings on a particular alignment. This program has taught me how to think in different ways, finding order in ignorance. While doing case studies and strategy projects, I have learned how to take my time, analyze what was wrong, and come up with solutions that balance vision and action. This has changed not only how I study, but it also changed how I lead. I now make better decisions with clear discipline, thinking about the effects and dependencies through a longer-term vision before I do anything. The plan changed from focusing on why certain ideas were wrong to engineering better outcomes.

Operations & Process Improvement

Having been curious about systems: how they work, what goes wrong with them, and how to fix them, I have often viewed the social, human interaction as inefficient. My classes have helped me better articulate where this issues lie, and understand why it is essential. Making places where chaos turns into clarity and execution becomes reliable using process maps and redesigning workflows. It wasn't just about making systems better; it was also about becoming the kind of leader who can make sense of chaos and build things that last.

Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

For the majority of my career I believed that experience and effort would support conclusions that would be listened to. The MS in Business Analytics is changing all of that. I am learning that analytics isn't just a technical skill; it's also a way to see things clearly instead of guessing. I could previously see and recognize patterns, but now I can find the data to support my conclusions. This has allowed for a more contemplative, data-driven leadership path. I can now use data, not just experience and effort, to prove my conclusions. With this degree and my MBA, I can connect what I know with what I do. I can make planned decisions based on data that fit with the career I'm building.

Leadership & Organizational Behavior

The effort of organizing and creating my book "The Six Pillars of Strategic Quality," along with the lessons and exercises in case studies from my MBA, has greatly altered my view on leadership. It has founded a deep commitment to improve the leadership landscape through my experience and my own efforts. I am finding that experience to be profitable in ways I hadn't considered before.

Marketing & Brand Strategy

I have been pleasantly surprised by how my experience in marketing has been. I have enjoyed the creative outlet, as well as aligning the new knowledge with my own personal brand and my budding consulting company. I am enjoying the learning and growth process.

Professional Growth

This MBA has done more than I ever expected. While I haven't yet earned the credentials, it has given me broader experience than I had initially expected. I now make decisions more carefully, lead with more confidence, and plan my career on purpose. The classes helped me think more clearly, but the biggest change happened when I stopped thinking of myself as someone who reacts to opportunities and started thinking of myself as someone who creates them. I now know what type of leader I want to be, and I am in the process of developing who that will be intentionally. That's not just growth; it's alignment.
